Hi! Sounds like most of the park is on a trolley... do I need to bring a stroller for my 2 and 5 year old do you think? Thank you!
The main attraction is the tour on our vehicles. With your ticket comes admission to our small animal adventure area. The only place where the stroller might be handy is getting from our lot to the gift shop where you purchase tickets. Most folks… more

The location is clean, spacious, and the animals seem happy to be there. The tour was informative, fun, and all the animals seemed well taken care of. Everyone gets a bucket of feed to give to the animals on the tour and the tour itself does not feel rushed and is a blast. We will be bringing our family with us next time.
First time patron. Came with my kids.overall we did have fun. We really did. I knew the risk of driving my own vehicle through the park. I was willing to risk some scratches and dents for such a cool experience. I wasn't however, expecting my vehicle to be impaled by the horn of a buffalo. Its horn literally got stuck and it shook my entire van trying to get free, scared the crap out of my kids. This is going to be an extremely expensive fix. I strongly urge patrons to take the safari bus and not risk the damage to your own car. This experience alone will deter me from going again or recommending it to anyone. Also, steer clear of the restaurant. The food was all over cooked, soggy fries. Very overpriced. Like $12 for the saddest, thinnest beef patty I've ever seen and it was so over cooked that my son was choking just trying to chew.
Buffalo impaled my van.
An invitation to a corporate event gave us an opportunity to spend the day at Hidden Valley Animal Adventure. This family-friendly event included a guided tour of the extensive animal park, ice cream in the Trailside Grill and admission to the walk-through petting zoo. We were welcomed aboard the sturdy safari tram...open air converted school bus by the most genial tour guide and set off across the animal park with our cups of animal chow. Children and adults listened to our host cite the safety instructions (similar to pre-flight safety speech) and we rumbled out across the landscape. As we crossed the escape proof metal bridge and entered the fenced compound, I began expecting a Jurassic Park type tour. Velociraptors did not scamper before us, rather a herd of docile bison circled our vehicle looking for handouts. The kids were suitably excited to see nursing calves and moms within arms length from the tram. The tour guide engaged the sightseers with corny dad jokes, interesting facts, and amusing quizzes to keep us entertained. At no time during this experience did I wish it were over, because the tour was very well designed to introduce new species around every turn in the road. At the conclusion of our tram ride, we headed for the Trailside Grill for Sealtest Ice Cream. We were fascinated by the luxury timbered facility which contains many interesting taxidermy displays. Window walls give a view of the beautiful pond and rolling lawns. Many a bride and groom have posed before the waterfalls on their special day! We wrapped up our visit to the walk-through petting zoo. Friendly (hungry?) goats followed our kids as we worked our way past pens of donkeys and ponies. Additional pens containing kangaroos, peacocks and dairy calves captured our interest. We were able to purchase cups of carrot sticks to feed the animals. All in all, a very pleasant day at a beautiful animal park! On the ride home, our little boys asked if we could come back again and again!

My husband and I went here for our one year wedding anniversary date and it was so much fun! You get to spend a lot of time interacting with the animals during the safari ride and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We will be coming back again!

I visited with my family, including my niece (2) and nephew (4) and we all had a great time. We took the first bus tour at 9:45 AM on a Saturday and it seemed like the best time to go. All of the animals were active and interested in being fed, plus the bus wasn't too crowded (can hold up to 39 according to the driver, we had 19 on our tour). The tour was about an hour long, with stops along the way to feed the animals that were interested in approaching the bus. Most of the animals did, including my favorite, the Highland Cattle. You get one cup of food with your ticket and can purchase more throughout the ride for $2 each. The kids had so much fun seeing and feeding the animals, and it was really fun as an adult, too! The grounds are nice and spacious and their facility houses the main office, banquet hall, and restaurant. There's also a "small animal experience" with kangaroos, goats, horses, and donkeys after the tour, or you can purchase separate admission if you don't do the tour, I think. The goats are free-roaming and come right up to you, which a lot of people were enjoying. Our tour guide, Dan, did a great job of telling us about all of the animals and giving everyone time to interact and feed them. This was a great way to spend a sunny day!

Great time. Lots of animals. Great for kids and adults alike. A must see if your in the area.

Took our 18 month old who loved it. There was a backup which caused the tram to be about 45 min late which was difficult to occupy a young child for that length of time.
This place was a lot of fun. I'd suggest taking the safari bus instead of driving the safari yourself. Zebras liked to grab your food cup so hold on tight for them. A very nice stop especially for kids.

It says School Bus but this is really the COOL Bus !
My preschooler loved this experience! But the whole thing felt a little... unaccredited. I would have liked to hear more about where they came from and why they ended up in captivity and what they do to care for them. Food at the counter was fine.
Is this place new?!?? It looks new. It's clean. Crisp. Fresh. Colorful. Well organized. Big. I didn't know what to expect pulling up. I'm not an expert on safari's. But I can tell you this place exceeded my expectations. There were tons of animals in the safari portion of the park. And many of them were exotic. They were also hungry. After the safari the small animal section, in which you get out and walk around, was a lot of fun. Feeding all the animals and getting up close and personal to a lot of different animals. The inside seems nice with a nice little restaurant. But we didn't eat. It's obvious this place is a great location for big events like a wedding. Would go back for sure.

See hundreds of exotic animals and have lunch or dinner at this new MS safari park
'it's really geared toward everybody because we have things for young kids and adults. so, there's something for everyone.'.
Want to take a ride and see hundreds of exotic animals? How about hold a fennec fox or a lemur ? What about dine with a view of peacocks walking around and swans in a pond?
Well, you can do all those things and more at Little Creek Landing Safari Park .
The new park is located in West Hattiesburg and is home to hundreds of exotic animals. It's an experience geared toward all ages and it's the product of a lifelong love of animals.
Joy Thurman Wallace said the seed for the park was planted long ago. Her mother had a love of animals and shared it with Wallace's son, Chris Thurman, who started and owns the safari park.

A lifelong love of animals
"My mother had a love of animals," Wallace said. "As a little boy, they would buy and sell animals."
Wallace said her mother's and son's business of buying, selling and raising animals was known as The Critter Farm and it was the genesis of the safari park.
"Back then we did a little of everything," Thurman said. "We did more domestics than exotics — more farm animal stuff back then."

Mississippi safari park has more than 300 animals including some oddities
However, over time, Thurman's interests shifted.
"I always liked the unusual," Thurman said. "As I got older, I got into exotics."
Thurman's collection grew to over 300 animals, and the park offers the public an opportunity to experience them. Guests will see species such as zebras, camels, antelope, ostrich and kangaroos. There are also some very unusual animals. Thurman said guests can see a white bison, a blond water buffalo and a white emu.
He even has a few endangered species he raises at the park.
"It helps the species survive," Thurman said.

Take a tour and have lunch or dinner at his safari park
Guests can tour the park with a guide while they ride on a wagon called a "people mover" pulled by a tractor. The tour takes roughly 30 minutes and feed can be purchased to feed animals along the way. There is also a self-guided walking tour of the property.
There is also a petting area as well as special hands-on experiences where guests can hold, touch or feed animals such a fennec fox, a lemur, a macaw and lorikeets.
Guests with an appetite are welcome, too.
The park features a restaurant the serves a cafe-style lunch and fine dining dinners on Friday and Saturday nights. Restaurant guests on Friday and Saturday nights receive a discount on the admission price to the park area if they want to take a tour, too.
"It's really geared toward everybody because we have things for young kids and adults," Thurman said. "So, there's something for everyone."
