When We Were Young festival will return for a third year to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 19, 2024 with headliners MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and FALL OUT BOY leading the massive lineup.

In 2024, over 50 bands will each perform an album front to back with highlights including MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE performing "The Black Parade" , A DAY TO REMEMBER 's "Homesick" , JIMMY EAT WORLD 's "Bleed American" , PIERCE THE VEIL 's "Collide With The Sky" , THE USED 's "In Love And Death" , SIMPLE PLAN performing "No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls" , DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL 's "Dusk And Summer" , COHEED AND CAMBRIA 's "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV" , along with NADA SURF 's "Let Go" , in addition to rare reunions from COBRA STARSHIP performing "¡Viva la Cobra!" and CHIODOS performing "All's Well That Ends Well" and much more. Former emo kids are called to gather once again at the 2024 edition of When We Were Young , taking place on the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Oct. 19. The third iteration of the music fest will feature over 50 full-album live performances. The headliners are Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance , who will perform “The Black Parade” in its entirety.

The festival’s 2023 lineup featured Green Day and Blink-182 as headliners, marking a slight shift from emo to pop-punk, with My Chemical Romance and Paramore headlining in 2022. Pierce the Veil and Simple Plan also performed in 2023, along with 30 Seconds to Mars, the Offspring, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low, Rise Against, Yellowcard, Sum 41 and New Found Glory.

The ultimate emo festival, When We Were Young, will return for its third year in 2024 with a slight change to its format: each set will feature the top-to-bottom performance of a defining album from each act. My Chemical Romance — who helmed the event’s first year in 2022 — will headline once again, this time performing Welcome to the Black Parade in full. Fall Out Boy will also headline, but no specific album has been attached to their set yet.

Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, When We Were Young 2024 will feature appearances from more than 50 bands. The weekend will showcase A Day To Remember’s Homesick , Jimmy Eat World ’s Bleed American , Pierce The Veil ’s Collide With The Sky, Mayday Parade’s A Lesson in Romantics, the Maine’s Can’t Stop Won’t Stop, Dashboard Confessional’s Dusk and Summer, The Used’s In Love and Death, Simple Plan’s No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls , 30H!3’s Want , and more.

When We Were Young Details 2024 Lineup: My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, A Day To Remember

When We Were Young  will return to Las Vegas on October 19th, 2024 with a lineup topped by  My Chemical Romance ,  Fall Out Boy ,  A Day To Remember , and  Jimmy Eat World . The third annual emo and punk nostalgia festival at the  Las Vegas Festival Grounds  will place a heavy emphasis on full-album performances, with over 50 artists playing their classic albums in full.

At the top of the bill, My Chemical Romance will play The Black Parade , A Day To Remember will recreate Homesick , and Jimmy Eat World will revisit Bleed American . Other full-album sets include Pierce The Veil ’s Collide With The Sky , The Used ’s In Love and Death , Simple Plan ‘s No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls , Dashboard Confessional ’s Dusk and Summer , Coheed and Cambria ’s Good Apollo , and many more. The  Live Nation -produced festival will also host rare reunions by  Cobra Starship  (performing  !Viva La Cobra ) and  Chiodos  (performing  All’s Well That Ends Well ).

Fall Out Boy to Live Stream Upcoming Las Vegas Concert

Fall Out Boy will live stream their upcoming Las Vegas concert on Sept. 28. The MANIA Tour show will beam out live from the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 6PM ET via Twitter .

The band teamed up with the MGM Grand venue to announce the live stream via Twitter via a  video announcement .

Fall Out Boy are currently out on the road and will take the stage tonight in Greensboro, N.C. See all their tour dates here .

The Illinois-bred group released their seventh album, MANIA , back in January. It is one of the best-selling rock albums of the year. Fall Out Boy also released the Lake Effect Kid EP in last month, which features the new song ”City in a Garden”

In other news, FOB's lead guitarist Joe Trohman is one of the many musicians teaming up for an upcoming benefit concert in Los Angeles. The event,  Strange 80s 2 , will also feature Stone Sour 's  Corey Taylor ,  Anthrax 's  Scott Ian ,  Rob Zombie  guitarist  John 5 ,  Sum 41 's  Deryck Whibley  and Frank Zummo,  Filter 's  Richard Patrick and many more. All proceeds from the will go to the  320 Changes Direction  organization, which was founded after the death of  Chester Bennington . The organization is designed to change the culture and conversation surrounding mental health issues.

Zayn is preparing to embark on his first-ever solo tour nearly a decade after he officially split from One Direction in 2015.

The former boy band star , 31, announced on Wednesday (September 18) that he would be bringing his 11-date Stairway to the Sky tour to the US and UK beginning this fall.

“Appreciate your patience, love, and support,” the “Pillowtalk” singer wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to enjoy great music together. This time I really mean soon see you in 35 days.”

Zayn teased the tour during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – his first TV appearance in eight years since he performed his 2016 song “Alienated” on the NBC late-night show.

The tour will be in support of his long-awaited fourth studio album, Room Under the Stairs , which he released earlier this year.

He previously described the record as an opportunity “for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being – my ambitions, my fears.”

Where will Zayn be touring?

Zayn will kick off his tour in the US on October 23 in San Francisco, California, before hitting Las Vegas, Nevada (October 25); Los Angeles, California (October 27); Washington DC (October 30); and New York City, New York (November 2).

After a two-week pause, the British artist will return to the UK, bringing the tour to Edinburgh, Scotland on November 20. He will then make his way to Leeds (November 23), Manchester (November 24), London (November 26) and Wolverhampton (November 29) before concluding in Newcastle (December 3).

When do tickets go on sale?

For fans interested in purchasing VIP key presale tickets, they will go on sale on Ticketmaster on Thursday, September 19, beginning at 9am BST/ 9am EDT/ 9am PDT.

Fan presale tickets will go live that same day, Thursday, September 19, at 11am BST/ 11am EDT/ 11am PDT.

General tickets will later go on sale to the public on Saturday, September 21, at 11am BST/ 11am EDT/ 11am PDT.

Zayn first rose to fame as a solo contestant on The X Factor in 2010. Following his elimination, he was brought back and partnered with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson to form One Direction.

The five-piece act went on to become a global sensation, releasing a string of Top 10 albums and embarking on several world tours.

In 2015, amid their world tour in Asia, Zayn announced his shock departure.

“My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band,” he said in a statement at the time , explaining: “I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.”

The rest of the band went on permanent hiatus soon after in 2016.
