Reptile Discovery Center Tours Offer Behind-the-Scenes Access at the
The tours include a guided stroll through the Reptile Discovery Center with a Zoo Salamander Ambassador filled with fun facts about its scaly residents. Guests will also meet the Aldabra tortoises—some of the oldest Zoo residents at more than 80 years old and weighing several hundred pounds—and feed them a leafy-green snack.

After Hours Tour Available Wednesdays or Saturdays (Time Varies) When the Zoo closes, this two-hour behind-the-scenes experience begins! Join our ZooAmerica naturalists for a guided tour through select areas, including an insider's look at the Animal Health Center and a walk through the animal buildings. Feed the otters and bears and enjoy an up-close visit with two of our ambassador species.

Animal Encounters are 30 - 45 minutes long, beginning with a front of scenes tour led by our Conservation Education staff. We'll spend the remaining time with our keeper meeting the animal (s), learning about how they are cared for and the challenges these animals face in the wild.
