Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, US, TLC became one of the most successful female R&B groups of the ‘90s, helping to set the standard for future acts with their endless string of hits that blended pop, hip-hop and soul.

Formed in 1991 by Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, TLC were quick to find a record deal, singing with L.A. Reid and Babyface’s new label, LaFace. Only a year after their formation, the group released their debut album, “Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip,” capturing the nation’s attention with their lively tracks and colorful image.

Yet despite this success, life wasn’t easy for the group, after Lopes was charged with arson and received five years probation for burning down her partner’s (NFL wide receiver, Andre Rison) Atlanta mansion. Despite the bad publicity, their second album, “CrazySexyCool” did not suffer in its reception, with the more mature release finding a number one hit in “Creep,” along with a number of Top Five singles in 1994. With the single “Waterfalls” spending seven weeks at number one, TLC were one of the biggest names in pop, selling over 11 million copies of their album and rounding out the year with a Grammy Award for ‘Best R&B Album.’

Financial difficulties dampened this euphoria, with TLC filing for bankruptcy only a year later. Subsequent years were spent settling their financial affairs, not releasing a new album until 1999, with “Fantail.” The album went straight to number one, eventually selling six times Platinum, as well as winning another Grammy for ‘Best R&B Album’ once again. Subsequently, tensions between the trio became public, with the stars often appearing in the tabloid press.

Work on a new album became challenging, due to Lopes’ solo commitments, as well as Watkins’ illness, who suffered from Sickle Cell Anaemia. Tragedy was soon to befall TLC, after Lopes was killed in a car accident in Honduras, not long after she had signed a new solo contract with Suge Knight’s label, The Row. The surviving members decided to continue, completing their third album, “3D” in 2002, featuring production from a host of names, including Timbaland, Missy Elliot and longtime producer Dallas Austin. The album went double-Platinum, continuing to find TLC commercial success.

In 2003, Watkins and Thomas performed at New York’s Zootropia concert, hinted to be their last performance. After a brief jaunt into reality T.V., the duo decided to return as TLC in 2009, planning a new record. “20” was released in 2013, an anthology of their hits, including a new song, “Meant To Be,” a track written by Ne-Yo. Their career was then memorialised by VH1, in their movie, “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.”

Live reviews

I may have not been able to see TLC live in concert during their heyday because I was so young, but I was able to see them in March 2014. I was interested in seeing them because the group was successful and was different than many female groups out there. With their lively and upbeat performance of classic hits, “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls,” “Unpretty,” and many others, it took you back to the good ole’ days. T-Boz and Chilli can still pull off their trendy dance moves as great as they could in the 90’s. However, since they are older now, it was funny that they admitted to needing a few minutes break because they said they are not young chickens anymore. Even if they are not young in age, both women still looked youthful and beautiful. The awesome outfits worn also really highlighted that.

It was enjoyable to see the group live after the release of VH1 movie: “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,” which highlighted the women’s lives. Rapper Lil Mama, who also played Left Eye in the movie, made an appearance at the show. On hits such as “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg,” and “What About Your Friends,” Lil Mama rapped Left Eye’s verses. At the end of the show, the group sang “Meant To Be,” a song they described as their favorite song and one dear to their hearts. They dedicated the performance of the song to Left Eye, and we all waved our lighted cell phones and made an “L” with our fingers in the air in honor of the gone but never forgotten rapper.

TLC experienced huge success during their heyday, scoring four top 20 albums in the US, with 'Fan Mail' topping the charts and now holds a 6x platinum selling certificate. Despite disputes with the law and each other, the girls created some huge international R & B hits such as 'No Scrubs' and 'Waterfalls'.

After a hiatus in touring, the girls return to the circuit much to the delight of fans and old and new. The time away is visible as they appear onstage in quite a shy manner yet after a couple of songs they find their stride partly thanks to the rapturous applause from the crowds. When the intro to hit 'Creep' begins the screams and cheers could have taken the roof off the venue and the girls give a sincere performance with pitch perfect vocals even after all these years.

Having found their feet, an aggressive and confident rendition of 'No Scrubs' has the audience singing along that infamous chorus. A brilliant, note perfect performance of 'Waterfalls' dedicated to their departed bandmate was poignant and the audience sung with even more effort and rapturously applauded TLC's return long after the band had disappeared.

After being a fan of TLC for many years & then seeing them in concert last night in Hobart, Tasmania; I must say I am shocked, appalled and I am no longer a TLC fan.

The show was due to start at 7pm and we were left sitting there waiting from 7pm until after 9.30pm watching nothing but film clips from other singers which were played on the screen behind the stage.

After over 2 1/2 hours of waiting, they finally made an appearance, pronounced Hobart incorrectly, told off members of the crowd for not touching their hand gently enough and after less than 1 hour of performing (singing) with a break in between they waved goodbye.

They gave no mention to Lisa left eye Lopez, had no visuals were not the slight bit entertaining and were outshined by their back up dancers.

I would’ve preferred to stay home and watch them on tv

Overall it was a great concert. They had an real good opening. There's only one thing for a good amount of time in the beginning the bass was way too high. It was difficult to hear them sing even though you can clearly see them singing. When they realized this during thier act they did reduce the bass. It helped so much because as much as sound is important also hearing the lyrics to the songs is important to. They played a lot of their hits from the album Crazy Sexy Cool. Some from fanmail. Some new one's as well. The show was about one hour long. A lot of energy went into it. And it was a sold out show. I enjoyed it and I'm sure a lot of others did as well.

Hey Songkick- what do you mean this is the first time that TLC will be in Milwaukee?! They’ve been here before! It was in 1993 at the Bradley Center- they were the second act of 4 groups that performed. 1-Mary J. Blidge opened (if you can believe it) 2-TLC 3- Shabba Ranks (where is he now?) and 4- headliner Bobby Brown. AN AMAZING SHOW!!! TLC was full of energy, wore bright and colorful clothing, and danced like they meant it! All the acts were impressive (minus Shabba and his one-hit-wonder performance) and I’ll remember it forever:)

Was an amazing concert! Me and my friends and mom had an amazing time, I loved how diverse the crowd was. TLC gave an amazing heartfelt performance and made everyone feel included regardless of how far back they were and they also invited everyone up to the front row to give an even more intimate experience. It was a short show but time flies when u are having a great time TLC couldn’t have given a better performance.

What great night! 20 9dd years hoping one day TCL might tour the UK and there they were!!! I thought it was perfect how they still played Lisa left eye rapping in the back ground and showed images of her 9n the screen and also mentioned her when they sang Waterfalls. A perfect tribute to her. Also it then made TLC the original TLC group we have always loved and known.

Tlc was amazing!!! And the tribute to left eye lisa lopez was perfect i love how the entire crowd lit up their cellphones to honour her !! Only issue i had was they didnt bring much of a selection for merchandise if they would have had a good plus size section i would have bought them all! I hope to one day see them and nelly together in concert in toronto !!

TLC and Shaggy look to warm up the tour circuit with their forthcoming Hot Summer Nights jaunt featuring special guests En Vogue and Sean Kingston.

Slated to kick off June 1 in Alabama, the Hot Summer Nights 2023 Tour will land in major markets, including New York, Miami, California, Texas and more. TLC has a laundry bag of Billboard Hot 100 hits across the ’90s and ’00s. Their four chart-toppers include “Creep,” “Unpretty,” “Waterfalls,” and “No Scrubs.” Last June, Chilli, and T-Boz performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Boyz II Men and left the crowd enthralled with their string of classics. The crown jewel of the night came when T-Boz introduced their performance of “Unpretty.” “This next song is near and dear to my heart because I wrote it from my heart. My boyfriend then made me feel like I wasn’t good enough. With social media now, the song still rings true today.” Then to applause, she added, “I kicked his a– to the curb.”

Stray Kids' Felix & Hyunjin Wore custom 'fits during dominATE tour kickoff in Seoul

tlc tour 2023 uk

Stray Kids have been keeping busy this summer with appearances in festivals across the world — from Chicago's Lollapalooza to London's BST Hyde Park and Milan's I-Days — but, at least sartorially speaking, they were saving the best for their own tour dominATE, which kicked off in Seoul on 24 August 2024.

For the occasion, Stray Kids members Felix and Hyunjin both got custom outfits made from Louis Vuitton and Versace , respectively. Donatella Versace , artistic director of the Italian luxury brand, was the first to unveil Hyunjin's custom dominATE wardrobe on her own Instagram, showing a video of the artist, who became the first Korean face for the brand in 2023, attending his fittings at Palazzo Versace in Milan, Italy.

Versace showed off the moodboard for Hyunjin's four outfits for the tour, which were inspired by the house's own collections from the ‘90s and center around cargo pants with multiple pockets for comfort when dancing on stage. The outfits also include references to the house’s iconic Medusa motif, as well as luxe chain-link accents worn in multiple ways.

Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Who is Love Is Blind UK's Jake Singleton-Hill, Catherine's new boyfriend?

A few days after Versace shared details of Hyunjin's exclusive wardrobe, Louis Vuitton followed suit, sharing more about the custom-made creations for Felix. Felix has served as a brand ambassador since 2023 and even made his runway debut at the brand's womenswear fall-winter 2024 show earlier this year.

Felix's ensemble for the dominATE tour stops at Seoul's KSPO DOME was designed by Louis Vuitton's creative director Nicolas Ghesquière. The only look shared so far features a leather jacket with an asymmetric white shearling collar and subtle shoulder pads with the brand's iconic monogram embossed. The logo embossing continues in a leather overshirt worn over straight-leg leather pants with silver zipper detailing, complementing Felix's jewellery and black combat boots.

While we only know about the details behind Felix's and Hyunjin's custom looks for now, seeing as they are the only current two members of Stray Kids that are actively serving as high-fashion brand ambassadors, it's worth keeping an eye out for the rest of the members as the tour continues to hit every corner of the world and as they continue to rub shoulders with other fashion houses.

While we are still waiting to see Han or Changbin at one of the main fashion weeks, Lee Know, Bang Chan, Seungmin, and I.N have all attended shows by Gucci , Fendi, Loewe , and Alexander McQueen .

Stray Kids' dominATE world tour will return to Seoul's KSPO Dome on 31 August and 1 September 2024, before the octet takes the show on the road across Singapore, Australia, and Asia for the rest of 2024 and early 2025 before heading onto yet-to-be-announced stops in America and Europe. With so many shows still to come, it's safe to say plenty of looks will be served.

Oasis guitarist Bonehead will join Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage next summer as the band reunite 15 years after they split up .

The Gallagher brothers announced they have put their past behind them and will reform Oasis 15 years after the band split.

The Britpop band revealed they will embark on a £50 million stadium tour including four nights at Wembley during summer 2025.

One of the band’s founding members Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs will also join the moody brothers on stage as they embark on a UK tour.

Insiders told The Sun that extra concerts will be announced once this run sells out.

“This is it. This is happening,” the Gallagher brothers both wrote on their social media pages in a highly anticipated announcement at 8am on Tuesday morning.

A source said: “These shows will sell out in less than three minutes. Extra dates will be added for sure.”

Oasis posted a 91 second video announcing their reunion on social media including clips from some of the band’s biggest gigs and quotes from the Gallagher brothers.

The pair are seen laughing and sharing a kiss towards the end of the footage.

Confirming the Oasis Live 25 tour, they added: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

The Oasis website crashed immediately as fans were sent into a frenzy following the announcement.

Ballot registration has opened for tickets ahead of Saturday’s general sale. The UK and Ireland tour will start at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and visit Manchester’s Heaton Park , Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Croke Park throughout July and August next year.

Tickets for UK dates will go on sale from 9am on Saturday, with Dublin tickets available from 8am the same day.

Oasis fans have been labelling it as the “ticket bloodbath of the century” as there appears to be no presale links.

Bonehead, 59, is understood to still be close to both the Gallagher brothers and played on Liam’s Definitely Maybe tour this summer after overcoming tonsil cancer in 2023.

A source told the Sun: “Bonehead is confirmed. They both wanted him in the fold and he was one of the drivers of the reunion. Noel has brought in some of his band too.

“The Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is ecstatic.”

Noel, 57, quit the band exactly 15 years ago on August 28 2009.

He said he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer”. It was prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

The brothers are believed to have buried the hatchet during a late night phone call before being reunited for a photoshoot in London last month.

Lil’ Kim accused of taking money from — and then ghosting — concert promoter behind failed music festival

Exclusive : hip-hop icon is accused of helping to sink an aborted toronto event which some furious fans dubbed a hometown version of 2017’s infamous ‘fyre festival’, article bookmarked.

Lil’ Kim, pictured at the 2022 BET Awards in Los Angeles, is in the hot seat over a cancelled concert appearance in Toronto

A Toronto music promoter is accusing hip-hop icon Lil’ Kim of fraud over a concert appearance that he says she accepted payment for, then blew off - helping to turn the failed event into what some furious fans dubbed a hometown version of 2017’s infamous “ Fyre Festival .”

“Lil’ Kim was enriched in the amount of $82,500.00 without posting online and/or performing at the Festival,” alleges an August 28 civil complaint, obtained by The Independent .

The 50-year-old Grammy winner, author, and onetime Biggie Smalls paramour , born Kimberly Jones, has a history of ghosting on scheduled performances, according to others who have hired her in the past.

She allegedly failed to appear for a show and meet-and-greet with “gay VIPS” in Florida after accepting a $23,000 payment in 2014, and was sued by a British club promoter five years earlier for allegedly bailing on an appearance after taking $20,000 to be there.

In 2013, disappointed fans lashed out at Kim for cancelling a London show due to what she said were “circumstances out of my control.” She’s also been accused by an upstate New York promoter of backing out of a concert after being sent a $5,000 deposit, and scrapping a planned appearance at the 2016 Essence Festival because of “ unfulfilled business obligations .”

In the latest conflict, Lil’ Kim is being sued by Remo Palladini, who has for the past decade successfully run the Vaughan Pizza Fest — presiding over, among other things, the creation of the world’s longest calzone (59.8 feet).

In 2023, Palladini’s “Hot in Herre” festival included superstar rappers Nelly , Fat Joe, Rick Ross , and Ja Rule . Admission started at $170, and the show went off without a hitch.

Palladini promised an even better experience at 2024’s show, which he was calling “Hot In Toronto.” Tickets for the June 22 performance ranged from $240 to a $13,500 “VIP” experience and sold quickly. Lil Wayne was at the top of the bill, which was expected to feature T-Pain, Lil Jon, Fabolous, Bow Wow, Mya, Mario, and Lil’ Kim.

“Because it’s in Toronto expect Drake & Others To Show Up Cough cough,” one optimistic fan posted on Instagram.

The planning began in early 2024, when Palladini contacted a go-between about booking a slate of acts for Hot in Toronto, according to the lawsuit.

Palladini was “assured” by the middleman that they would “garner a collection of artists to perform at the Festival, including Lil’ Kim, and act as escrow agent for any and all deposits between Palladini and the artists,” the lawsuit contends.

Superstar rapper Nelly (left) headlined the “Hot in Herre” festival in 2023, last year’s version of Hot in Toronto, which went off without a hitch.

On top of performing, Lil’ Kim agreed in principle to promote Hot in Toronto on social media, the suit goes on.

However, it continues, the artist “failed to sign” the contract Palladino sent her, and “no formal written agreement was executed” between them.

“Despite the lack of formal written agreement between the parties, on or about February 13, 2024, Palladini… wired $82,500.00 (the ‘Deposit’), in good faith and based on past experiences, to [the go-between],” the lawsuit continues.

At the same time, ticketholders would soon begin seeing signs that all was not well with Hot in Toronto. In April, Lil’ Wayne was mysteriously excised from the advertised lineup, sparking outrage among fans.

“Bro i just seen that too…i seen they removed T-Pain a while ago and i’ve been trying to get answers…no response…then i just seen they removed Lil Wayne i’m like wtf…i want a f****** refund, f*** this s***,” one aggrieved social media user posted on X.

The following month, Hot in Toronto was officially called off.

“Hot in Toronto is postponed,” read an email sent to fans. “All tickets will be valid for the new date and lineup.  We are working on securing new dates and new artists for the show.”

A festival spokesperson said in a statement at the time that losing Lil’ Wayne caused “a lot of problems,” and that organizers were unable to find a replacement headliner on such short notice. Fans “purchased tickets based on the lineup we posted, which has changed dramatically,” the mea culpa said, promising refunds to all. “To be clear, all artists were fully contracted and deposits were paid.”

Before it was called off, Hot in Toronto was meant to feature Lil’ Wayne (left) at the top of the bill

However, when people didn’t get their money, the backlash was swift, prompting a Hot in Toronto official to tell local media: “Fans sending multiple emails, calling our personal phone lines, and somehow finding out where we live is not okay.” (As recently as two weeks ago, angry ticketholders on Reddit were discussing a possible class-action lawsuit in an attempt to get reimbursed.)

Now, the tables appear to have turned, and Palladini wants his money back from Lil’ Kim. Although Hot in Toronto never took place, Palladini’s lawsuit says Lil’ Kim “failed to post about the Festival and perform without a good faith reason.”

The suit lists four causes of action against Lil’ Kim: breach of oral contract, unjust enrichment, fraud, and violating general business law.

“Based on the foregoing,” it concludes, “Palladini is entitled to compensation for violation of the General Business Law including attorney fees in an amount to be proven at trial but not less than $82,500.00.”

Palladini’s attorney said on Thursday that he would ask him if he wished to comment on the lawsuit, but had not come back with a response by close of business. Lil’ Kim’s manager, Brandon Cohen, did not respond to an inquiry from The Independent .

An inquiry sent Thursday to Hot in Toronto’s general inbox elicited an auto-reply reading: “Hot in Toronto is postponed. All tickets will be valid for the new date and lineup.  We are working on securing new dates and new artists for the show.”

General ticket sale starts on Saturday at 8am for the Dublin shows and 9am for the UK shows. There is a presale however, thousands of fans had previously flocked to social media to state that they hadn't received the confirmation email of their ballot entry. Those hoping to enter the ballot were faced with a quiz, being asked how many times they had seen Oasis and who the original drummer of the band was.

In a new statement, the band said: "Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out. The deadline to confirm your entry has now been extended to 10am BST tomorrow morning (Friday 30th August). Lauryn Hill plays surprise show for her high school reunion after tour cancellation

She previously said that part of the tour's cancellation and low ticket sales was due to "sensationalism and clickbait headlines"

Lauryn Hill performs live in 202

Lauryn Hill has performed a short surprise set at her high school reunion party after the recent cancellation of her North American tour with the Fugees – see clips of the performance below.

  • READ MORE:   Why ‘The Score’ is one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever

Videos have begun surfacing on social media that show Hill attending her Columbia High School reunion part earlier this month, after axing her North American tour with the Fugees due to low ticket sales just three days before the trek was meant to kick off .

In the videos – which you can watch below – Hill is seen performing songs such as ‘Ex-Factor’, ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’, ‘Lost Ones’ and her hit with the Fugees, ‘Ready Or Not’. It is currently unclear how many songs she performed in total for the reunion celebration.

Captions on some of the videos that have been shared include “When you classmate and friend is a LEGEND!!” and “We were blessed with a mini impromptu concert and it was lit!! My high school is the truth!”

The videos were posted on August 15, about a week after it was first announced that the US leg of the tour had been quietly cancelled . On August 8, Hill released a statement online confirming the cancellation , saying that a part of the cancellation was due to “some media outlet’s penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines” that led to low sales.

This latest Fugees tour cancellation comes after a run of dates of shows dedicated to ‘Miseducation’ were axed last November, when Hill cited a “serious vocal strain for the past month” . She has since returned to performing with a handful of shows across February, March and April of this year including a slot at Coachella .

Lauryn Hill has since confirmed that the UK and Europe leg of the tour will remain intact. All European tour dates are  still on sale via the Live Nation website . You can get tickets to the UK and Ireland gigs  here .

Lauryn Hill and The Fugees’ current UK and Europe tour dates are:

OCTOBER 7 – Dublin, Ireland,  3Arena  9 – Cardiff, UK,  Utilita Arena  12 – Manchester, UK,  Co-op Live  14 – London, UK, The O2  16 – Cologne, Germany, Lanxess Arena  18 – Paris, France, Accor Arena  19 – Paris, France, Accor Arena  22 – Amsterdam, Netherlands, Ziggo Dome  23 – Antwerp, Belgium, Sportpaleis  26 – Stockholm, Sweden, Tele2 Arena  30 – Berlin, Germany, Uber Arena

NOVEMBER 1 – Hamburg, Germany, Barclays Arena

Following the US tour being axed,  Pras Michel of the Fugees went on to share a track which appeared to contain a diss about the vocalist . He later explained that the diss stemmed from the frustrations he felt on behalf of the fans , and her numerous cases of showing up to concerts late or cancelling them entirely: “Everyone’s frustration has been building up. This is not something that just happened overnight. My frustration was for the fans. They are paying their hard-earned money to see you.”

“I’ve never seen this kind of fan reaction toward Lauryn Hill. There is a rejection — ‘We help to pay your bill. Just like we should be happy you came, you should be happy we coming’,” he continued.

About the Coronation

The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla will take place on Saturday 6 May. The first procession will begin at 10.20am. Their Majesties will travel in procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. This is known as ‘The King’s Procession’. Their Majesties will travel in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, drawn by 6 Windsor Grey horses. The Household Cavalry will provide the Sovereign’s Escort.

The King’s Procession will travel along The Mall, through Admiralty Arch, passing to the south of the King Charles Island statue in Trafalgar Square before turning onto Whitehall. The procession will continue down Whitehall and along the east and south sides of Parliament Square, arriving at Westminster Abbey.

The Coronation service at Westminster Abbey will begin at 11am and finish at 1pm.

After the Coronation service, Their Majesties will return to Buckingham Palace as part of a larger ceremonial procession, known as ‘The Coronation Procession’. The Coronation Procession will last for around 30 minutes. Their Majesties will travel in the Gold State Coach, drawn by 8 Windsor Grey horses.

The procession will arrive at Buckingham Palace at around 1:30pm. Their Majesties will receive a salute from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Armed Forces in the Buckingham Palace Gardens, and appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony. At 2:30pm, there will be a Coronation flypast by the Armed Forces over The Mall and Buckingham Palace (subject to weather, serviceability, and operational commitments).
