Park 2 Cruise lot in Galveston?

Has anyone used the Park 2 Cruise lot across the street from the new terminal? Was it difficult to drop people off at the terminal & get back across the street? It seems to be much cheaper than parking directly at the terminal. Thanks for any info on it!

You might look at Discount Cruise Parking. We used them last May. Cheaper than most of the closer lots, plus they have a shuttle to and from the port. Good service. I will use them again.
Look also at Discount and Falstaff
Thanks for the info. Looks like Discount is the same price as Park 2 cruise, but has a shuttle, which would be nice because all of us would be getting to the terminal at the same time instead of waiting on the drivers to park & walk across the street to the rest of the party.

Galveston Cruise Parking (Where to Park): Prices, Profiles, & Map
When it comes to Galveston cruise parking, you have lots of options on where to park while you take your trip.
While the port offers official parking, there are close to a dozen other independent options that all compete for your business. The result? Galveston has the cheapest parking of any cruise port in America. Many lots charge about $15-$20 per day for outdoor spots when you add in all taxes and fees. ( Many hotels also offer free or discounted parking if you stay with them a single night before your cruise .)
With all of the options, it can be a little overwhelming to figure out where you should park. Truth is, most lots are similar and located about the same distance from the port. The major differences between most lots is whether or not they offer covered/indoor parking and of course, the price you’ll pay.
Galveston Cruise Parking Lot Details
Below, we’ve included a price list across all your options. Just note that prices can vary based on season, trip length, parking lot, and even which cruise line you sail. We’ve included all taxes and fees where applicable .
For all lots it’s a good idea to reserve and pay online ahead of time. Not only does this guarantee you a parking spot, but online reservations usually have a discount off the “drive-up” price. We also have a listing of coupons (up to $15 off!) here.
As well, since the Port of Galveston charges shuttles from outside parking lots an access fee to drop off at the cruise ships, there are often discounts if you park and walk instead of using the shuttle . Keep in mind that rates can change.
Port of Galveston Cruise Parking Lots (Official Port Lots) No matter which cruise terminal you sail, the Port of Galveston offers official port parking, and guarantees a space for all cruise passengers. That said, there are a number of different parking options provided by the port, which come with different prices, making things a little confusing.
Economy Lots: The port offers a number of surface lots (Lots A-B) that sit on either side of Harborside Drive, between 29th Street and 33rd Street. The lots are fenced and lit. Parking for oversize vehicles is available for an extra charge. The price is $147 (all prices inclusive of taxes and fees) for a 7-day cruise. Five-day cruises see a price of $106. A shuttle to the ship is provided.
Express Lot & Parking Garage: In addition to the economy lots, the port also offers premium options. The first is an Express Lot that’s at the door of Cruise Terminal 28. It offers the ability to park and walk just a few steps to the terminal. As well, there is another lot at Pier 25. This costs $162 for a 7-day trip and $117 for a 5-day cruise.
Then there is also a covered parking garage across the street from Harborside and a short walk to both terminals. The garage charges lots are priced at $200 for a 7-day cruise and $144 for a 5-day cruise. No shuttle is provided given the short distance.
Cruise Terminal 10 Parking: Cruise Terminal 10 is the newly built Royal Caribbean terminal, located east of the other terminals. This spot offers four parking areas: North Lot (located closest to the terminal), South Lot, Pier 12 Lot, and the Pier 14 Lot. The North Lot and Pier 12 Lot cost $200 for a 7-day cruise and $144 for a 5-day trip. The South Lot and Pier 14 cost $178 (7-day) and $127 (5-day).
- Cost: Varies from $147-$200 for a 7-day trip.
- Distance/Shuttle: 5-7 blocks from the port (shuttle provided for free). Garage/Express Lot parking is at the cruise ships. Terminal 10 parking is at or a short distance from the terminal.

We found rates of $92 (including taxes and fees) for uncovered parking during a 7-day cruise. Rates for shorter 5-day cruises were $78 after all taxes and fees.
In addition, the parking lot offers a free shuttle that picks up and drops off at the cruise terminals every 15 minutes.
- Cost: $92 for a 7-day trip (prepaid)
- Distance/Shuttle: 5-7 blocks (shuttle provided for free)

Falstaff offers indoor parking and outdoor lots. Note that that the lot is a little farther than most lots from the port, but still a quick free shuttle ride to the port.
In our search we found parking for $171 for indoor parking for a week cruise after taxes and fees with the shuttle. There is also outdoor parking for $129 for a week with taxes/fees.

The entire lot is fenced and lit. Most parking is outdoors, but there is also indoor parking for an additional fee.
Because the lot if relatively tight, no RVs or oversize vehicles can park here. Given the proximity to the port, it’s a great option for those who want to be able to walk to the ship and not have to wait on a shuttle. Parking is not available for Royal Caribbean cruises.

Port of Galveston says they no longer offer free parking for Disabled Veterans. You only receive a 15% discount
RCL’s new terminal is actually Terminal 3 / PIER 10…
Port of Galveston calls it Cruise Terminal 10:
PARKING AND MOBILITY Our Mobility Department is devising ways to move cruise-related traffic to its final destinations most efficiently. All customers who park at Cruise Terminal 10 will benefit from expedited entrance and exit at parking facilities with new license plate recognition technology.
Discount Cruise Parking has moved much closer to the terminal and is at 433 33rd Street, Galveston TX 77550. They were still the cheapest from those available when I searched. (I had a four-day cruise during the week and half the parking lots were not even open.) I will know next week if the service is still good.
Jim how was the parking at Discount Cruise Parking? I am trying to decide if I want to use this lot for my upcoming cruise for this December.
Hotel Galvez is now Grand Galvez with new owners, and no longer offer cruise parking or cruise port shuttle service.
I am a disabled veteran 100 percent I am visiting a friend in Arkansas and are Carnival Cruise leaves on March 21 to the 26th will be driving from Arkansas to Galveston and leaving on the dream but the car we’re bringing down is my friend’s car but I did bring my packer plate from my car in Pennsylvania would that work to get the free parking the car is registered in her name not mine…
I’d suggest calling the port at 409-765-9321. That’s a pretty intricate situation.
Do you have Purple Heart parking prices
Purple Heart recipients can park for free at the official Galveston port lots. According to their website:
“To qualify for complimentary parking space you will need the following: State vehicle registration receipt with Disabled Veteran or Purple Heart Recipient designation along with driver’s license or state-issued ID to match vehicle registration information.”
“In addition, the Disabled American Veteran or Purple Heart Recipient MUST be present at time of check in along with the vehicle that has the DV/PH license plate.”
You don’t have to reserve ahead of time. Just show up and let the attendant know. They will direct you on how to park for free.

How Do I know Which Terminal to Go to for My Cruise Line?
Typically Carnival cruise ships use Terminal 1 and Royal Caribbean and Disney use Terminal 2. You will still want to check with your cruise line and check the signs leading up to the cruise port to make sure, but this is a good rule of thumb.
Currently, cruise ships going out of Galveston are on itineraries to the Bahamas and Caribbean. There are also some occasional Transatlantic cruises and even Panama Canal cruises to check out.
Hotel Parking
Many cruisers opt to arrive in Galveston a day or two before their cruise departs. For those travelers flying into Texas, this greatly lessens any worries about flight delays or missing luggage. And because embarkation day can be hectic, even cruisers who don’t have to fly to Galveston often choose to take a day before their cruise embarks to relax.
Frugal travelers will love that they can save on Galveston cruise parking if they are savvy to the local hotels. Many Galveston hotels offer free parking or a cruise parking package to their guests.
7 Hotels that Can Help You Save on Your Galveston Cruise Parking

Comfort Suites Galveston is located the farthest away from the cruise terminal, however, they offer free parking for cruisers and a $20 shuttle to the terminal. Tips & Tricks for Galveston Port Cruisers
Embarkation.
Embarkation day can be draining. Your itinerary for the day may include checking out of a hotel or traveling from the airport, parking your vehicle, arranging for shuttle transportation, loading and unloading luggage, keeping track of travel documents, and waiting in line. Here are some tips to keep things streamlined and stress-free.
- Reserve your parking spot ahead of time . We cannot stress this one enough! Not only will pre-booking your parking spot save you money, but many parking lots and hotel shuttles fill up. You don’t want to be stranded.
- Know your parking facility’s luggage policy . Some parking lots offer luggage handling, while others suggest that you drop your luggage off at the terminal with cruise line porters before parking your car. Make sure you know what your parking facility’s policy is so that your luggage makes it onto the right ship!
- Pack a small “day bag” to keep with you on cruise embarkation day . Sometimes it can take hours for your luggage to arrive to your cabin. Keep a small bag with you packed with your necessities to get you through – snacks, travel documents, medications, and if you have little ones, some distractions and a change of clothes for them. Minimize meltdowns during this waiting period!
- If you are traveling with young children who still require car seats, ensure that you know how you are traveling to and from the terminal . While shuttles do not require car seats, if you are parking in a lot that does not offer a shuttle, know that taxicab, Uber and Lyft drivers will not allow children without car seats in their vehicles. You may need to plan on traveling with your child’s car seat (it may come in handy for cab rides at ports of call!) or consider packing a Bubble Bum .
Ah, tipping. That gray area that can mystify even the most seasoned traveler. Should you tip your shuttle driver? Well – that depends. If you have chosen Galveston cruise parking that includes a free shuttle, the answer is yes.
Plan on tipping your shuttle driver $5 for the ride, plus $1-$2 per bag for luggage handling. If you paid for the shuttle, a minimum of $2 tip plus a minimum of $1 for luggage handling is a good rule of thumb.
Whether you’re an experienced cruiser or a first-timer, you don’t need to let worries about where to park your car in Galveston trump your excitement. The port of Galveston is a tourist destination with plenty of cruise parking options.
You’ll find parking lots and garages for your car or RV, as well as hotels to suit any traveling style and budget with parking amenities while you’re on your cruise.

What Our Clients Are Saying
EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! Awesome service with a dedicated smile! I used this company to store my rented vehicle before an 8-night cruise out of the Port of Galveston. These guys are quick, organized and professional. My wait on both ends was less than 2 mins!! Though my interactions were brief, both on departure and return, I was so pleased I tipped double! Moni M.
We used this parking service AGAIN this year for our 7 day cruise! Again this year, they were more than happy to help, they were all kind, and polite! Waited about 10 minutes in each direction for the shuttle to leave, and we were able to completely avoid the crazy port traffic!!! We will definitely use them again! Marie S.

This is a very convenient parking lot in Galveston for Royal Caribbean passengers, directly across Harborside Dr from the port parking lot. It's easy for the car driver to let folks and baggage off at the pier, then drop the car off at Park 2 Cruise, then walk 2 blocks or so back to meet up with fellow cruisers to sign in and sail away. I highly recommend this fenced, gated place to leave your car. Sign up with them and pay ahead so when you get on the lot, they just look up your name and welcome you. Great location, friendly, secure.
Price was really good compared to the standard Galveston Port Parking locations. It is walking distance from the terminal as they do not have a shuttle. I called ahead of booking and they said I could just drop my luggage off at terminal and then park and take the short walk without bags. Very nice staff. The gate attendant actually aired up my tire which he said was low on air the morning I returned.
Awesome place to park and its a walking distance from the port. I saved $220 parking here. I dropped my kids off at the terminal and checked in all bags. Then I drove here and parked and then walked myself to the terminal.
I needed to make parking reservations and I spoke with Mr Dillon Jones, when I say he was Patient with all my questions and he made me laugh throughout the entire time study assuring me along the way. Please help me acknowledge this young man as he went UP and BEYOND!!!!!!!! Hats off to you DILLON 👏
